About Us

Our Idea:

This blog is dedicated to starting a discussion with leaders and professional physical therapists to advocate and educate physical therapists interested in private practice.   We are always looking for people to interview and discuss themes related to current problems facing PT's looking to open and operate a private practice.

Jon Weber

My name is Jonathan Weber and I am a third year physical therapy student at Regis University.  I am currently involved in research looking at the role of proprioception in shoulder instability rehabilitation programs.  I am very interested in issues related to physical therapy private practice.  I believe that physical therapists have a tremendous opportunity to provide solutions to many of the problems facing our healthcare system through creative and efficient business models.  I also like sandwiches quite a bit.

Jesse Frechette

My name is Jesse Frechette.  I am a 3rd year DPT student at Regis University in Denver CO.  I’m currently on my 3rd clinical rotation in Bend OR at St. Charles Medical Center Outpatient Rehab Center, then I will be in Hillsboro OR at Therapeutic Associates.  During my education experience at Regis, I have worked on a research project investigating the effects of aerobic exercise on cartilage damage due to OA.  I believe that the physical therapy is a brilliant and opportunistic field and I look forward to becoming part of the profession.  I also realize that this profession has faced hurdles with health care legislature and public awareness.  I am very interested in private practice and hope this blog will provide a place to share knowledge regarding success and problems.  My current hobbies include cooking, beer brewing, slicing golf balls into the brush, and finding potential clinical roommates on Craigslist…
