Links and Thoughts

Jon, Jesse and I have been working toward putting together interviews and gathering content to add to both the public and student portals of our project here.  In addition to adding interviews, we are also trying to identify more resources for anyone interested in physical therapy clinic ownership, and will continue to add these to a collection of links in the lower left hand side of the main page under Physical Therapy Links.

New and Noteworthy:

Entrepreneur.com on the utility of LinkedIn
With 100 million users, LinkedIn has become more and more relevant, but what for? This blog post from Entrepreneur.com looks at different types of users and trends in usage. The thing that catches me most when reading this post is the difference between executives and managers who use linked in for HIRING and the number of entry level professionals who are trying to get HIRED.  It is a good exercise in framing expectations when joining social networks for purposes related to marketing (yourself or your company)

Do you use LinkedIn?  If so, how and what for??  Comment below!

Physical Therapy Business Alliance (PTBA)

There was a post just published at blog.myphysicaltherapyspace.com addressing reoccurring issues in private practice legislation, reimbursement, and organization.  This is a new effort in organizing physical therapy businesses, creating a platform for grassroots efforts, clinical success of independent PT practices, and creating winning strategies for private practice owners.  This looks like a tremendous opportunity for involvement - if you have any interest in private practice physical therapy this is something you need to look at.

Wordpress Pro

The Wordpress site (private site) has been upgraded to the Pro version (thanks to our faculty's $$).  A unrelated video is now posted to test our new uploading abilities.  Hopefully we will have our video interviews coming soon!  Click on the Student Portal  link on the left to view the Wordpress site.
