Hello!
The APTA CO Chapter Private Practice SIG was gracious enough to offer students and opportunity to attend the most recent meeting. Jon, Jesse and I attended! There were several great discussions highlighting payer networks, referral for profit, CPT coding, ACO's, medicare reimbursement, and advocacy for unifying as private practice physical therapists to elevate the profession as a whole and advocate for our patients. Expect blog posts to start rolling out soon (hopefully) addressing a few of the aforementioned topics.
One thing we haven't talked about (the three of us) together much, but I think I speak for Jon and Jesse both when I say that we would be grateful to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas. What questions would you like to have answered or discussed surrounding private physical therapy practices? We want this blog/website to be a resource for anyone with questions about physical therapists building/owning/operating physical therapy clinics. We're students. This is a project the three of us have elected to take on to try to understand the challenges of private practice better, and strive to elevate the knowledge base of the practice as a whole! Feedback is always welcome.
Thanks for reading,
Denver Lancaster
